Raksha | Protection

Amulets have been in use in Rajasthan for over 4,000 years. We have all witnessed someone or even personally worn /carried an amulet or Taveez to ward off evil. These amulets have always fascinated me and I have been on a hunt for these ever since I set foot in Rajasthan the first time for Nine by Thirty. If you have followed my work over the years you’d have seen these amulets making an appearance time and again. I absolutely love them for the stories they have been carrying for thousands of years and believe they keep me protected - what with all those amulets in my studio 😄!
